Dr Globetrotter: doctor in unusual places

Claire Lenne is a young emergency doctor who mainly works in emergency rooms. She is also involved in numerous atypical missions: from supporting a dispensary in the Amazon forest to working in a Gabonese clinic and undertaking scientific expeditions. For one evening only, Claire will invite us to put our imaginary white coat on and step into her world through various stories and experiences.

La Nuit Des Idées | Lignes de failles

La Nuit des Idées (The Night of Ideas) is coming to Melbourne! This global event designed by the Institut Français will take place at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) on March 1st 2024.

A yearly celebration of arts, culture, science and philosophy, The Night of Ideas will bring together scientists, writers, activists and artists from Australia, Europe, Northern America, the Pacific and Asia. For its 9th edition, the iconic event is back with a brand-new theme: “Fault Lines”, or “Lignes de Faille” in French, after Nancy Huston’s 2006 novel. Through the Fault Lines, the event wishes to explore the lines that divide us, the tipping points of our contemporary societies and how to bridge and mend our communities.

Friday 1 March 2024 | 6-9.30 PM

This event is organised by the Embassy of France in Australia in partnership with the NGV.
