This program is designed to be studied over a full school year so that students can progress to the next step, VCE 3&4 (B1) the following year. Students joining this course in Term 1 should have completed Year 10 (A2) or have been assessed prior to enrolling. If registering in Term 2, 3 or 4, please contact us before enrolling to check that this is the recommended learning option for you.

No textbooks are required for this course. All material will be provided by the teacher.

VCE 3&4 Immersion Day: Focus on the Written Exam

Immersion Days

If you’re completing VCE 3&4 French this year, this course is for you!

This full-day course will help you prepare for the VCE 3&4 written exam. Our team of qualified native-French speaking teachers will guide you through a variety of activities focusing on the exam format along with the three elements of the VCE3&4 written paper (Reading, Writing & Listening).

During this course, you will consolidate and revise your VCE 3&4-level French, ensuring that key grammatical concepts are understood, and that you go into the exam with confidence. Our teachers will also provide helpful tips, including what not to do during the exam! Our tutors are experienced in teaching VCE3&4 and will offer you valuable advice to give you every chance of success!

The Department of Education offers a 100% subsidy for high-school students enrolled in government schools in Victoria. To apply for the subsidy, please follow the instructions on our website - DET Subsidy.

The AFTV also provides scholarships for high-school students from independent and catholic schools to participate in Alliance Française immersion days. To qualify for the scholarship, your school must be a current  AFTV member. To apply, please follow the instructions on our website - AFTV Subsidy.

Year 8 (A1) is for students who are in their second year of learning French. Building on their existing knowledge, students will learn how to talk about topics such as: food and drinks, the news and historical events, plan activities with friends, whilst immersed in the French culture.

This program is designed to be studied over a full school year, so that students can progress to the next step, Year 9 (A2) the following year. Students joining this course in Term 1 should have completed Year 7 (A1) or have learned French for 1-2 years.
