The Department of Education and Training (DET) and the Association of French Teachers in Victoria (AFTV) offer subsidies (subject to availability) for French teachers and students who wish to attend Alliance Française Immersion Days. Please see below for how to apply.

High School Students

Government Schools - DET offers a 100% subsidy for high school students enrolled in government schools in Victoria and who are interested in attending any of our French Immersion Days for teenagers. These Immersion Days take place throughout the year and are detailed on our website here. To apply for the subsidy, please download and fill out the form here and return it by email to educationcoordinator@afmelbourne.com.au.

Independent /Catholic schools - AFTV offers scholarships for high-school students at independent and Catholic schools to participate in Alliance Française immersion days for teenagers. Your school must be a current AFTV member.

French teachers

The DET offers a 100% subsidy for French teachers working at government schools in Victoria who are interested in attending any of our French Immersion Days for professional development. Our Immersion Days take place during the school holiday period and are detailed in our course selector. To apply for the subsidy, please send an email to Cecile Plaa at educationcoordinator@afmelbourne.com.au detailing how you would benefit from the course.
