Focusing on a different cultural theme each week, discussion topics will include: French lifestyle, traditions, travel destinations, arts, and gastronomy. As well as immersing yourself in the French culture, you will have the opportunity to improve your language skills and boost your confidence through practical exercises led by your expert native-speaking French tutor. This is the perfect course to learn in a relaxed, sociable environment and add a French touch to your week. On vous attend!

In this session, you will continue to learn the foundations of French grammar and vocabulary, talking about the weather, getting around town, going shopping, and making plans.

Grammar points will include:

  •          Conjugating key verbs
  •          Asking questions
  •          Placing adverbs to describe frequency
  •          Describing quantity
  •          Demonstrative adjectives

You have a strong grasp of the foundations of French grammar, and a good range of vocabulary.

It's time to build on those skills and start using more descriptions in French, including: how we dress, tell a story, describe our habits etc.


 Among other grammar topics, this class will cover: 

  •          Conjugating key verbs
  •          Speaking about the past
  •          Questions
  •          Obligation and possibility using the verbs devoir and pouvoir

In this course, you will expand your vocabulary by talking about family, health, housing, and giving your opinion on a range of topics.

  •          Using pronouns
  •          Giving instructions
  •          Speaking in the past tense

Are you aiming to improve your fluency in spoken French and keep your grammar in ship shape? This course will help you do both!

With a focus on speaking skills, we will help boost your confidence and fluency by engaging in conversations and debates on a range of cultural topics and current affairs. Not forgetting the importance of grammar in achieving an advanced level of French, we will also revise and consolidate the main grammar points covered in B1. Reinforce your comprehension and expression through listening, speaking, reading and writing activities.

We recommend spending one year in Conversation & Grammar B1+ before moving to a B2 class.

You have come a long way on your French journey. Get ready to take your French to a new level!


In this session, our conversations will focus on all things travel. Using a range of high-level grammar structures, we will discuss our home town, responsible travel, and exploring new places. Grammar will include:  

 

         Revising verb tenses

         Past and present subjunctive

         Present participles, gerund, and verbal adjectives

         La mise en relief

         The superlative to express enthusiasm, approval and disapproval
