Confirm Your Attendance For

Diaspora Opening

Date: 16 Sep 2017, 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm. (Australia/Melbourne UTC+11)

Artist Josie Fagan presents: Diaspora.
An installation of over 1500 handmade ceramic vessels, represents the perilous journey of Syrian refugees attempting the sea crossing from Turkey to Greece. The audience is invited to bring a small item to swap with pieces of the artwork, taking the artwork home. Through this exchange, the vessels are dispersed throughout our community in a gesture recognising the precious lives lost and supporting those still seeking safe passage.

Join us for the opening night on Saturday 16th September, 4pm to 5.30pm.
