It's fantastique that you've decided to learn French. You've come to the right place.In this class, we will take you through the basics and have you speaking French from day one!

Among other topics, you will cover:

- Greetings and introductions (Bonjour, je m'appelle Julie)
- Introducing yourself (Je suis française, j'ai 30 ans, je suis actrice)
- Asking for basic information (Tu parles quelle langue ?)
- Telling the time (Il est dix-sept heures)
- Expressing your likes and dislikes (J'adore le camembert)

This class is for complete beginners with no experience of French. If you have any prior experience in French, book a free level assessment to find out which class is the most suitable for you.

With the basics under your belt, you will begin to speak French with more confidence. In this course, we will talk about the weather, getting around town, going shopping, and making plans.

Your learning will include:

- Using more verbs in the present tense (Je prends le train)
- Asking questions with "est-ce que" (Est-ce que tu aimes le cinéma ?)
- Placing adverbs to describe frequency (Je bois souvent du café)
- Describing quantity (Il y a beaucoup de beurre dans la cuisine française)
- Demonstrative adjectives (Tu vas faire quoi ce week-end ?)

- Asking questions with comment, où and pourquoi (Où est-ce que tu vas ?)
- Talking about can-do and must-do (Tu peux aller à la plage, mais tu dois mettre de la crème solaire)

You're on a roll! As you become more proficient in French, your ability to express yourself is growing steadily. By talking about fashion, family, volunteering and housing, we will help you to expand your vocabulary and improve your fluency.

- The past tenses - passé composé and imparfait (Je regardais la télé quand quelqu'un a frappé à la porte)
- Cause and effect (Le match est annulé à cause de la pluie. Alors, nous rentrons chez nous)
- Discussing quantity (J'ai plusieurs amis francophones, et toi ? Moi, je n'en ai aucun.)
- Giving instructions (Ne leur téléphonez pas, envoyez-leur un email)
- Present conditional (Si je gagnais au Loto, je ferais le tour du monde)

As your French advances, you are becoming proficient in increasingly complex language and conversations. During this course, with the guidance of your native-speaking French tutor, you will make further progress by discussing exploration, expressing fear, nature and where we come from.

Among other topics, this course will cover:

- Present participle (Les candidats bavardant pendant l'examen seront exclus)
- Using present subjunctive with emotions (Nous sommes ravies que vous puissiez venir)
- Opposition & concession (Le tourisme lunaire est positif car il rapporte de l’argent. En revanche, ce n’est pas très écologique)
