Finals
Candidates must achieve a score of 20 / 20 to qualify for the finals.
All finals will take place in Term 3, on-line via ZOOM meetings. Finalists will recite by heart the same poem recited in first round. There are two judges. The dates and times of the finals cannot be changed.
Our prizes range from vouchers to books and educational experiences.
Candidates affiliated with a school
Amendments can be made up to one week after the enrolment deadline. Please email the new list of participants to competition@afmelbourne.com.au
When there are more than 200 students participating from the same school, it may be possible for examiners to visit the school and assess students in person. Please contact the co-ordinator: competition@afmelbourne.com.au
If a suitable alternative date can be found, the date can be changed. Please contact the co-ordinator: competition@afmelbourne.com.au to request.
No; the poems must be recited as they appear on the Alliance Française website.
Independent candidates
Upon registration you receive a form requesting further details. All registered candidates will be contacted with the specific date & time for their assessment. Deadline dates are on the website here.
Award Ceremony
Details of the Award Ceremony will be sent to independent candidates directly. Candidates registered through school are advised to seek information from the school, as details will be sent to the schools.
"J'Illustre Mon Poeme" Category
The winning candidates' illustrations will be displayed at the award ceremony and available for collection.
