The year is 50 BC. Gaul is entirely occupied by the Romans. Well, not quite! One small village of indomitable Gauls still holds out against the invaders.
But just how much longer can they hold out, especially given Julius Caesar’s new strategy? Since they cannot defeat Asterix, Obelix and friends by force, the Romans decide to surround the quaint village with modern mansions in an attempt to seduce everyone outside the gates with a new life of luxury.
Asterix: The Land of the Gods is the latest cinematic instalment of France’s favourite characters, based on one of the best books in the legendary series by Goscinny and Uderzo. There are plenty of laughs to be had for young filmgoers in the audience, as well as the gentle satire that Asterix is known for to be savoured by older fans.
Join Asterix for his biggest and funniest adventure ever seen on the big screen!
