Happens once per year only! A whole weekend at Portsea Camp in total immersion with a young and dynamic team of qualified French teachers. During the two days of this French immersion weekend, students will gain confidence in their ability to speak French while practicing through playful activities, such as outdoor activities or creative language workshops. Excellent for Year 10 students who would like to practice their French in a great location before starting VCE!

Saturday will be dedicated to 4 French workshops focusing on revisiing grammar and vocabulary outcomes while practicing speaking through intearctive activities, and we will spend Sunday morning on a scavenger hunt around the town of Portsea.

Location: Portsea Camp

Date: 09-11 September 2016

Transport: Transport by coach from the Alliance Française de Melbourne and back. Departure at 4.30 pm on Friday 09 September. Return at the Alliance Française on Sunday 11 September at approximately 4.00 pm. Please   ensure that you arrive at the Alliance in St Kilda by 4.00 pm at the latest on the day of departure.

Attendance: Please note that there is a limited number of available spots, so be sure to   book early.

Cost: $395 / $375 for AFM members and students. All inclusive (food, accommodation, transport, language workshops and activities). Payments must be   received in full by 26 August 2016, 5pm.

Conditions: There will be    no refund when cancelling after 26 August 2016, 5pm. Application for a refund must be made in writing to Marion Nouvel: headteacher1@afmelbourne.com.au. If a student is entitled to a refund,  a 20% processing fee may apply.

Subsidies: The Languages Unit of the Department of Education and Training will provide a subsidy of $300 for some participating students from government schools. Click here to download the information notice and click here to download the subsidy application form.
