If you’ve ever wanted to learn about wine, this wine appreciation course is the simple answer! Experience a 2 hour wine course for beginners right in the heart of Melbourne where you can learn and taste your way through an intimate appreciation of wine with your very own certified Sommelier.

Discover the art of matching French wine and food with Mickaël Dupas, manager of La Cassolette. Mickael will lead you on a unique culinary tour for two hours in La Cassolette, his bistro located in Rebecca Walk, Melbourne's new artisan market and retail/service precinct. Situated on the northern side of the Yarra River, these vibrant architecturally designed retail/service pods flank the pedestrian pathway and open out onto the spacious and picturesque Batman Park all the way down to the river.

During the workshop you will discover a range of products, which will include learning about the history of the wine, wine-making techniques, and the origins of the cheese.

This will be followed by a tasting. Mickael will guide you through two white and three red wines, all paired with a traditional baguette and cheese, charcuteries or fish. You will also have the choice of an extra two glasses of a wine of your choosing!

Finally, you will receive a booklet with the details of experience in order to share your new found knowledge with friends and family.

All of the dishes are home made and they use the freshest produce to always offer the best quality. The dining room has a minimalist design to create an ambiance where food is most important. La Cassolette is the perfect place to have a great time enjoying gourmet food in a warm bistro atmosphere!

There is no need to bring anything other than your nose, appetite for great French food  and an open mind!
