La Trobe Art Institute, 121 View Street, Bendigo, VIC 3550 (opposite Bendigo Art Gallery)

La Belle Époque is regarded as Europe’s golden age, a remarkable time of progress, innovation, and optimism. Nowhere was it more apparent than in France with, to name a few, the Paris Exposition of 1889, the invention of the Cinématographe by the Lumiere Brothers in 1895, and the artistic heyday of Montmartre.

Join this professional development workshop to discover how to introduce this exciting time period in your French class and share ideas for activities on la Belle Epoque to spark your students' curiosity about the French culture and language. This workshop is designed for teachers of senior students (Year 10-Year 12) but all teachers of French are welcome. It will be run in French.

Make the most of your day by also visiting the fantastic exhibition "Paris: Impressions of Life 1880-1925” at Bendigo Art Gallery, and take a journey through the lively and picturesque streets of historic Paris - Book here.
