At Shifty Chèvre, 375 Brunswick St, Fitzroy 3065

A Literary Trail in Normandy is a workshop during which you will walk in the footsteps of some of the greatest French artists and writers of the 19th century.

Pissarro, Manet, Boudin, Monet… Normandy, with its beaches of smoothed pebbles, its crumbling limestone cliffs, and its green pastures that never turn yellow, has inspired generations of artists and has gained a reputation within the world of impressionist painters.

And what do the childhood memories of writers such as Flaubert, Maupassant or Camus have to say, whose fictional works are set in Havre, Rouen and the woods of Normandy?

The workshop will begin at 6.30pm and food (tasting of the infamous oven-baked camembert served with salad and a glass of wine) will be served around 8pm.

Any extra drinks or food must be purchased by each participant.

Places are limited. Booking essential before Tuesday 15th Dec.
