Who can take the exam?
All middle and high school students are welcome to take the exam.It is not a requirement to be enrolled as an Alliance francaise
student to sit this exam.
Has my registration been received?
You will receive confirmation of registration as soon as your payment is processed online. Please check your Junk /Spam folders.
If you do not receive an immediate confirmation of purchase when you register online, please contact

for assistance.
IMPORTANT - The date shown on your registration confirmation is for the written
(collective) exam only - the date and time of your oral (individual) exam will be sent to you at a later date when we issue the
official exam notification (“convocation”) no later than 3 weeks before the exams begin.
Can I reserve a place and pay later?
Payment is required at the time of registration to guarantee your place. If you complete your purchase online, you can choose to
pay in full by credit/debit card, or in instalments via PayPal or Afterpay.
Can I pay by invoice?
Payment by invoice is only available for schools or for those whose employer is paying for their exam. To pay by invoice, please
contact our Customer Service Team.
Can I choose my oral exam time?
Unfortunately, you cannot choose the date and/or time of your oral exam. The oral exam schedule depends on many factors such as
room and, examiner availability etc.
Can I change my exam level?
If you made an error when selecting your exam level, please inform us as soon as possible at exams@afmelbourne.com.au
Can I register under my preferred name instead of my legal name?
No. As the diploma issued is an official document, you must register with your legal name, including first name and surname. Note
that middle names are optional.
Do you have preparation classes?
Preparation classes can be organised but only if we have enough participants to open a class. If you are interested in joining a

Do you sell DELF preparation books?
You can find DELF preparation books through Language International
Bookshop
(13-15 Station St, Kew East, VIC 3102).
Can my written exam be re-scheduled?
No, the date of the written exam cannot be changed. The dates are fixed by France Education International 12 months in
advance. If you are unable to attend, please wait until the next session to sit the exam.
Can I cancel my exam registration?

Yes, if you cancel/withdraw before the registration deadline, you will receive a refund/credit minus an administration fee
($50.00).

After the registration deadline, cancellations can be made up to 7 days before the beginning of the exam period. The dates of
each exam period are set out in the exam schedule. Candidates may receive a refund or credit minus the administration fee ($50.00)

No refund or credit is available for cancellations less than 7 days before the start of each exam period (see exam schedule for
dates).
Can I take the written and oral exams at different Alliance Française?
No. The written and oral exams must be taken at the same exam centre.
Can someone else collect my certificate on my behalf?
If you need someone to collect the certificate on your behalf, please provide them with a signed letter of authorisation, as
well as a copy of your valid ID.
How do I apply for special examination arrangements?
Special examination arrangements can be made on a case-by-case basis.
IMPORTANT - If you require any adjustments to sit the exams, please inform us by email as soon as
possible, ideally at the time of registration, but no later than 3 weeks before the date of your first exam. Please
