Ingredients:
- 1 pie crust (pre-made or home made)
- 6 slices of bacon, cooked and chopped
- 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 1.5 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 teaspoon each of salt and black pepper
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 190°C.
- Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and crimp the edges.
- Sprinkle the chopped bacon and shredded cheese evenly over the bottom of the pie crust.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until well combined.
- Pour the egg mixture over the bacon and cheese in the pie crust.
- Bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the center is set and the crust is golden brown.
- Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Variations:
