2. Breakdown tradition

For the first time in Olympic history, the Opening Ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris will defy tradition by not taking place in a stadium. Instead, it should be held along the Seine River, with athletes parading on boats representing their nations – a sight not to be missed. And what’s more, admission will be free for most spectators along the upper quays!

3. Supporting athletes

In response to calls for better support for parenting athletes, breastfeeding sportswomen will have access to rooms at a nearby hotel, allowing them to stay with their infants or have fathers care for them.

4. Lost in translation

Lost in the City of Lights? Paris Metro's has got your back with its latest tech upgrade. RATP has equipped over 3,000 ticketing agents with handheld AI translation devices which can translate between French and 16 languages.
