Description and structure
TCFQ: Test de Connaissance du Français pour le Québec / French Language Test for Quebec. It has been specially designed to be consistent with the standards of the Ministry of Immigration (MICC) of Quebec, and is only intended for people wishing to settle in Quebec.

Issued by the French Ministry of Education, valid for 2 years from taking the test.

Modular format, with 4 possible examinations. Each examination will grant the candidate points, according to a scale established by MICC. Candidates can decide to sit 1, 2, 3 or 4 of the possible examinations:

In order to qualify to score points for immigration purposes, candidates need to have a B2 (Advanced) level minimum.

Your TCFQ certificate is only valid for your immigration application. You cannot use it, for example, for admission to a French university.

Schedule
Unless clearly advised otherwise, all exams are organised at our St Kilda location during business hours. We reserve the right to add extra
days for each session.
Please note that candidates will not be able to choose their examination date. They will receive an email one week before
the test at the latest to inform them of the precise day and time of their examinations.

Results
Results are sent to the test centre within 15 working days of receipt of the examination papers by FEI. After this, you
will then receive an email advising you to come and pick up your certificate. If you cannot come and pick it up, we can arrange to have
them sent to you: you will need to provide us with an A4 Registered Post envelop with your name and address on it.
How to register

Download the registration form, fill it in and email it back along with an electronic version of a passport photo (following the Guidelines) to educationcoordinator@afmelbourne.com.au

You will receive an email confirming your registration.

You will receive your test schedule by email one week before the examinations at the latest.
