Results

Results are emailed to you about one month after sitting the test. After this, you will then receive emails advising you when your certificate and diploma have arrived - certificates require a few weeks after test results and diplomas require a few months - so that you can come and pick them up in St Kilda. If you cannot come and pick them up, we can arrange to have them mailed to you: you will need to provide us with an A4 Registered Post envelop with your name and address on it.

Results assigned by national juries are final. If you failed the exam, you may apply to have a look at your exam paper within two weeks of your results being emailed to you. It can only be organised by appointment at our premises in St Kilda. To apply, please email Julie David at coursecoordinator@afmelbourne.com.au.

Note that DELF Junior examiners and markers are all trained and authorized by the CIEP. They follow strict assessment guidelines and are regularly monitored.

How to prepare

  1. Sample papers: sample papers are provided for each level on the CIEP website. Please click here to access them .

  2. Group courses: we offer DELF preparation courses throughout the year. These courses are designed to prepare for the standard DELF exams (not Junior version) but the format and level being the same, candidates for DELF Junior are welcome to join one of these adult preparation courses – provided that they are 16 years or older.

  3. Private tuition: with personalised training and flexible scheduling, private tuition is a great way to get ready before your exam. Visit our website for more details or contact Isabelle at privatetuition@afmelbourne.com.au.

  4. Resources:

    • Bonjour de France: online activities to prepare from DELF A1 to DALF C1.

    • TV5 Monde: online activities to practice French through videos, songs and articles, from A1 to B2.

    • CIEP bibliography: the CIEP created a list of textbooks and online resources to prepare for DELF/DALF exams.

    • Our multimedia library also stocks a variety of books to help you prepare for the DELF/DALF exams.
