M "Holocaust scenes"
France - 2010
In occupied Paris, in July 1942, Jewish children with yellow stars sewn to their clothes, play happily, unaware of impending disaster. Even their parents seem confident that, in a civilised country like France, nothing bad can happen. Nevertheless, the French police, under orders from the Nazis, round-up 13,000 men, women and children one night and place them in a huge indoor cycling stadium. Here a Jewish doctor, Jean Reno, and a Christian nurse, Melanie Laurent, try to help them.
