French through Theatre

In this new 10-week workshop for level A2-B2 students, you will practise your spoken French through theatre! Each week, our expert drama teacher Irena will guide you through different theatre games, breathing exercises, and tongue twisters in French, that will improve your pronunciation and your confidence to speak. Students will work through a short text in which they will each have their own role. With the help of their teacher, they will develop the mise en scène, explore their characters and practise their texts with a strong emphasis on pronunciation, using a variety of different techniques. The short play will be performed during the final class in week 10.

Why practise French through theatre? Not only does this method allow you to learn new vocabulary while having fun, but it develops crucial skills such as listening, curiosity, attention, memorisation and most importantly: self confidence. If you feel shy speaking French, this method will get you feeling more comfortable and confident with the language, which will in turn allow you to progress much quicker!
