So Frenchy So Chic
in the garden

Monday 15 January 2018, 6pm
In the gardens of the Alliance Française de Melbourne
51 Grey Street, St Kilda
Cost: $50

Following the success of last year, the Alliance Française has once again partnered with So Frenchy So Chic for a special sunset show in the garden of their Eildon Mansion starring two fifths of the Frenchy festival lineup: Juniore and General Elektriks. The So Frenchy So Chic vibes will continue after the weekend in an intimate evening session of music, champagne, wine, dancing and joie de vivre.

Juniore is a female-fronted band from Paris lead by Anna Jean whose hypnotic dreamy voice carries through their mix of old school melodies with modern lyrics, producing a sound that conjures up that of a 1960’s dance party. Their first self-titled album was released in 2016, and their new album Ouh là là was released in March this year.

General Elektriks

General Elektriks is the brainchild of French vintage keyboard player/ composer/ singer/ producer Hervé Salters. Blending keyboard funk, oldschool pop and hip hop beats in his home studio in the San Francisco Bay Area, Salters has released 3 albums as General Elektriks: ‘Cliquety Kliqk’ (2003), ‘Good City For Dreamers’ (2009) and ‘Parker Street’ (2011).

Bring these two bands together, put them in a garden on a sunny Monday evening, and you’ve got yourself a French-Australian-summer-mélange of music and good good times.
Tickets are limited so you'll have to be quick!
