Jazzy Jeudi

Alliance Française de Melbourne & St Kilda Jazz present:

kimba griffith - 24 may 2018

Versatile vocalist Kimba Griffith is renowned for her sensitive and unique renderings of songs across the popular music repertoire, in particular her swinging renditions of rare gems in the jazz canon. Kimba pairs finely enunciated lyrics with a gift for finding the heart of the song. She released a critically lauded album ‘Each Time the First Time’ with her Septet in 2015.

Kimba will be joined in an intimate setting by New Impromptu Quartet band members pianist Alexander Nettelbeck, guitarist Mikey Chan, and bassist Conrad Henderson in this special concert .

“Kimba Griffith has a classic approach to her vocals and is pitch perfect the whole way with no blemishes.” – The Music

“Kimba’s fine tone and phrasing take us down new pathways, creating intimate settings that captivate” – The Age
