Alliance Française de Melbourne & St Kilda Jazz present:
MAY 25: MONIQUE DIMATTINA
Singer and songwriter, versatile pianist and radio personality Monique diMattina will share a variety of French fancies - from Piaf and Sidney Bechet to her own originals - alongside her vast catalogue of songs penned on her cult 3RRR and ABC 774 radio segment ‘Shaken Not Rehearsed’ in which she writes a bespoke song in an hour, from listener requests.
"Monique di Mattina lights up my piano with her life, and my life with her piano. A worthy genius, she is."
"Monique's witty songs are on a par with the Broadway songsmiths of the 1930s ..how refreshing to hear her intelligence bringing popular music and jazz together again" Lucky Oceans The Planet ABC RN
