Impressions of Paris: Lautrec, Degas, Daumier, Atget
A National Gallery of Australia Travelling Exhibition.
Monash Gallery of Art is delighted to present its major international exhibition of 2015, Impressions of Paris: Lautrec, Degas, Daumier, Atget featuring over 120 prints, posters and photographs drawn from the collection of the National Gallery of Australia.
A major contribution to French art of the nineteenth century was made by four key figures: Honoré-Victorin Daumier, Edgar Degas, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, and Eugène Atget. Each of these artists embraced modern subject matter through innovative compositions that played a significant role in artistic developments in France during their lifetimes.

1.00pm Curator's talk. Join EMILIE OWENS, Assistant Curator, International Prints and Drawings, National Gallery of Australia for a guided tour of this beautiful exhibition.
2.00pm Official launch. MGA is thrilled to be joined by DR GERARD VAUGHN AM, Director, National Gallery of Australia with opening remarks by MYRIAM BOISBOUVIER-WYLIE, Honourary Consul General of France in Melbourne.
