Jump out of the starting blocks with this express French course for complete beginners!

In 5 weeks, you will be able to initiate a conversation in French, use numbers, express likes and dislikes, introduce yourself, and exchange information. You will communicate in French with your teacher and classmates, and be eligible to join the next level (Beginner 2) the following term. An exciting start is ahead!

No textbook is required for this course, all material will be provided.
Pace: 3 hours per week over 5 weeks
(A2) Intermediate

Grammar & Conversation: Voyages - Intermediate

5-week courses for adults
Are you ready to move beyond your textbook French and learn to speak with confidence?

Are you planning a trip to France but feel nervous about actually speaking French with the locals? In this class, you will master the unwritten rules of French conversation while learning about "la belle France". France is known for its magnificent cities and luxurious lifestyle that will certainly capture your heart. Join us to talk about beautiful cities and regions, and bring a touch of France into your life!

No textbook is required, all material will be provided. This course is for Intermediate-level students.



Pace: 2 hours per week over 5 weeks
(B1) Independent

Everybody knows that French people love to debate!

Did you know that debating is a tradition in France? Throughout history, from Louis the XIVth to the French Revolution, great philosophers were famous for it, perhaps the most famous of all: Rene Descartes " Je pense donc je suis " I think therefore I am". So, if you like a good discussion, venez débattre en classe. We will cover a range of topics from the news and current affairs.

For students from Independent to Advanced levels. No textbook is required, all material will be provided.

10 hours | $350.00 incl. gst | $35.00 /hour


Pace: 2 hours per week over 5 weeks
(B2) Advanced

Picasso et la vie des artistes - B2/C1

Are you an art lover?

Come along and immerse yourself in the extraordinary life and career of Pablo Picasso, one of the greatest and best-known artists of the last century. The "Belle Epoque" was a period that started in Paris when art, culture, music and intellect were widely celebrated. Learning French through art and artists is a fun and engaging way to understand the language. The last session of this course will take place at the NGV with a visit to the Picasso Century exhibition (Please note that there will be an entry fee of $30.00 per student)

No textbook is required, all material provided. This course is suitable for advanced-level students.
Pace: 2 hours per week over 5 weeks

Please note for reasons of class management and ensuring the best learning outcomes for all our students:

After students have enrolled in a particular class, it is not possible to change teacher, day, time and/or delivery format (online or onsite) – either week-to-week, or for the rest of term, after classes have started. Exception is where the student needs to change level (before end of Week 2 of any term).
