The Alliance Française Eildon Gallery is proud to present the second exhibition from The Torch as part of the Yalukit Wilum Ngargee Festival.
The Torch supports Indigenous offenders and ex-offenders through its Indigenous Arts in Prisons and Community program. Central to the program is cultural learning, strengthening, expression and sharing.
Dhumbadha Munga (talking knowledge) looks at the two-way relationship between the arts workers and the artists they support. Through dhumbadha munga, the artists learn, develop and reinforce their cultural identity to express and share their stories.
As it has done so for generations, Indigenous Culture remains alive through talking and sharing knowledge.
