Beginner 2
You’ve got the basics from Beginner 1, or perhaps you’ve taken a French class before.
In this session, you will continue to learn the foundations of French grammar and vocabulary, talking about the weather, getting around town, going shopping, and making plans.
Grammar points will include:
- Conjugating key verbs
- Asking questions
- Placing adverbs to describe frequency
- Describing quantity
- Demonstrative adjectives

Beginner 4 Express
You’ve mastered the basics and are making good progress in French!
In this course, you will expand your vocabulary by talking about family, health, housing, and giving your opinion on a range of topics.
By the end of this course, your skills will include:
- Making comparisons
- Correctly placing adjectives
- Using pronouns
- Giving instructions
- Speaking in the past tense

As you approach the end of our Beginner program, your French is moving to the next level.
In this session, you will consolidate your knowledge and see how far you have come. As your language skills and confidence develop, so too
will your pronunciation and understanding of the French language and culture. Keep going, next stop, Intermediate 1!
Among other topics, this course will focus on:
- Revising verb tenses
- Pronouns
- Discussing quantity using the pronoun en
- Asking for information and understanding announcements
- Organising and celebrating events

You’ve mastered the basics, it’s time to take your French to the next level.
In this class, you will begin to use more complex grammar structures allowing you to add more depth and detail to your conversations and
writing in French.
Alongside the cultural themes of social media, education, and the world of work, grammar topics will include:
- The imperative
- Direct and indirect pronouns
- Making comparisons
- The passage of time
- Obligation: il faut, devoir, etc

As your French language skills develop, so does your ability to communicate using more complex vocabulary and grammar.
Along with cultural topics including: art & culture and the French-speaking world, your learning will include:
Justifying your choices

Expressing gratitude, discussing a difficulty and encouraging others
Using adverbs, interrogative pronouns and correctly placing adjectives and superlatives

Arts & Culture - Expert (C1)
Maintain your high level of French through discussions and debate on a range of interesting and in-depth cultural topics! This course will encourage you to engage your curiosity through articles, documentaries, TV reports and other resources related to the arts and culture. Topics vary and may include literature, gastronomy, cinema, art and also popular culture, TV, the media, technology or travel.
Please note that due to the hosting of the DELF exam there will be no classes on the 26th of October
