French cuisine is often seen as elaborate, refined and highly technical, having made a name for itself as the height of gastronomical sophistication… but less is known about French home style cooking. The Alliance Française invites you to join us for a 5-week French culinary course where students will combine French language with a weekly cooking class that will introduce you to some of the most popular dishes cooked in homes around France.

Each week, students will spend one hour in the classroom studying the language and learning about regional specialties, after which they will spend the second half of the class cooking under the guidance of their French teacher and experienced home chef, Anne. Students will sit down together at the end of the class and enjoy their meal while practicing their French conversation. Dishes may include boeuf bourguignon, tomates farcies, flan de courgette, gougères, fougasse aux olives, gratin dauphinois, fondant au chocolat, tarte aux pommes… and more!

This course is designed for level A2 – B1 students.
