This course is for students in their fifth or sixth year of learning French.
This VCE 1&2 B1 French course for high school students continues over 4 terms and is designed for students who already have a strong
knowledge of the French language. This course is for students who need extra practice at an advanced level in order to prepare them for
their tests and exams.
Why study at the Alliance Française?
Following the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, our students develop four core language areas: speaking, listening,
reading and writing. In this course, students will enhance their knowledge of French and their language structures with intensive practice
and various interactive activities, with an emphasis on communication in class and a methodology that will prepare them for their exams.
Course prerequisite: Year 10 A2 course or 4-5 years of learning French.

Our VCE 1&2 B1 program is divided in 4 terms in the 2020 school year:
- Term 1: 28 January to 28 March.
- Term 2: 14 April - 20 June
- Term 3: 13 July to 19 September
- Term 4: 5 October to 19 December
By the end of Term 4, students will have learnt all the necessary basics to move on to the next learning step in 2021: VCE 3&4 B2.
To ensure progression and efficient learning, it is recommended to enrol every term for the full length of the school year, for a
full completion of the program.
