Get ready for Year 8! - Week 1

This course is designed for students who are learning French in Year 8 and who wish to revise content from Year 7.

This course is designed to revise grammar, expand vocabulary and allow students to practise speaking and listening in a stimulating French environment. As per the Alliance Française philosophy, classes will be run predominantly in French with an emphasis on communication. Grammar and vocabulary typically studied in Year 8 will be revised and strengthened through various activities and exercises, involving conversation and role-play activities.

Learning outcomes may include:
• Describing and naming clothes and accessories;
• Asking and giving your opinion about clothing;
• Describing people and things;
• Planning for the future;
• Expressing desires and possibilities;
• Requesting permission;
• Colours;
• Grammar points such as demonstrative adjectives, direct object pronouns, the future tense using 'aller', + verbs (to try, to buy, to put, to want, to be able to...)
