Each year, the Tour de France sets hearts racing not only with its epic mountain climbs, but also its magnificent scenery. This 5-week French course for B1-B2 students will follow the 2019 Tour de France route, and will introduce some of the jewels of the French countryside, and their historic regional centres.

Students will have the opportunity to practice and refine their French skills through reading, writing, listening and discussion while discovering the best of regional France. The class will use a variety of audio visual and written materials to teach students about the history, traditions, cuisine, architecture, landscape, industry, agriculture and notable people from a selection of regions along the 2019 Tour de France route.

Regions studied may include:
• La Champagne (Reims, Epernay)
• Les Vosges (Colmar, Mulhouse) + Territoire de Belfort
• Le Sud-ouest + Toulouse
• La région Occitanie (Nimes, Le pont du Gard) + Cévennes
• Les Alpes (Savoie, Haute-Savoie)

This course is designed for students who are between B1 and B2 levels.
