Director Laurent Tirard (Molière) brings his second adaptation of the famous Little Nicholas series to the screen with the delightful Nicholas on Holiday.

This time, Nicholas and his family are off to the seaside for a summer vacation. Here the precocious child quickly makes a new group of friends: local boy Blaise, English boy Djodjo, the perpetually miserable Crépin, the perpetually annoying Côme, and Fructueux, a boy who eats anything. Nicholas also meets Isabelle, an intense little girl who his parents jokingly refer to as a potential wife.

This light and bright film brims with rich humour, moments of childhood nostalgia, hilarious blunders and misunderstandings across three generations. There are nods to Tati, Kubrick, Fellini, and even Hitchcock’s famous shower scene, but fans of Goscinny and Sempé's classic series will recognise the joy of the books cleverly brought to life on the big screen. The first Little Nicholas adaptation was a worldwide hit (Official Selection, AF FFF 2010). This second instalment is sure to once again enchant kids and grownups alike.
