Direct from the Adelaide Cabaret Festival 2015, this breathtaking show about the legendary Edith Piaf celebrates 100 years since her birth.

Exquisitely performed by Michaela Burger on vocals, Greg Wain on guitar and directed by Shona Benson, this is Piaf - her life, loves, soul and songs – as never seen before.

Having explored the undertones of Piaf's vocals and lyrics, the duo performs their own unique interpretations of her music, using acoustic guitar, loop, delay and effect pedals.

Showcasing many favourites, including La Vie en Rose, and Rien de Rien alongside lesser-known gems, Burger interlinks each with touching stories of the singer’s life, while seamlessly playing the part of Edith, her half-sister, Momone, and various famous lovers too.

Burger has been dubbed Australia’s very own ‘little sparrow’! She sings many of the songs in French and, being only 2cm taller than Piaf and dressed in her trademark black, she bears an uncanny resemblance to the French star.

Libbi Gorr from ABC Melbourne called it ‘Sublime’, Glam Adelaide said it was ‘more than worthy of the standing ovation it received’ and The Advertiser described Burger’s voice as one of ‘uncanny beauty’.
