Description and structure

TEFAQ: Test d’Evaluation de Français pour le Québec / French Assessment Test for Quebec. It has been specially designed to be consistent with the standards of the Ministry of Immigration (MICC) of Quebec, and is only intended for people wishing to settle in Quebec.

Prices and schedule for 2017

Prices*

The Alliance française de Melbourne organises the e-TEFAQ, the electronic version of the test.

4 possible examinations, $100 each.

Schedule

Unless clearly advised otherwise, all exams are organised at our St Kilda location. We reserve the right to add extra days for each session.

Please note that candidates will not be able to choose their oral examination date. They will receive an email one week before the test at the latest to inform them of the precise day and time of their examinations.

Results

As soon as the TEFAQ session will be corrected by the CCIP, candidats will receive an email from them with a link allowing them to access their certificates online. Please note that no paper duplicate of certificates will be provided.

If candidates wish to receive  a paper duplicate of their certificate, they will have to order it on the CCIP online shop and they will be charged 50 euros.


How to register

  1. Read through the information on this page and the TEF/TEFAQ Terms & Conditions (in French) carefully.

  2. Download the registration form, fill it in and email it back to Marion Nouvel at coursecoordinator@afmelbourne.com.au.

  3. You will receive an email confirming your registration.

  4. You will receive your test schedule by email one week before the examinations at the latest.

  5. If you have any questions, please contact Marion Nouvel on 03 9525 3463 or coursecoordinator@afmelbourne.com.au.



How to prepare

  1. Group courses: we offer collective courses from A1 to C1 levels in St Kilda and in the CBD. Not sure what your level is? Click here to fill in our quick online assessment request form and a tutor will contact you to discuss course options.

  2. Private tuition: personalised training and flexible scheduling, private tuition is a great way to get ready before your exam. Visit our website for more details or contact Isabelle at privatetuition@afmelbourne.com.au.

  3. Resources:

    1. CCIP: resources provided by the Chamber of Commerce of Paris.

    2. Manuel du candidat: go to page 22 for examples of examinations.

    3. Our multimedia library also stocks a variety of useful books, DVDs and CDs.
