La Francophonie 2016

In March, the Francophonie celebrations are back: this year again, join us to celebrate the French language and take part in our free “Dis-moi dix mots” competition.

Celebrate the French language through photography, video, drawing and poetry! Every year the “Dis-moi dix mots” project showcases 10 words to raise awareness about the French language and invite students who learn French at school to give their own artistic impression and understanding of the words.

This year, the ten words that have been selected will take you on a journey to discover spoken French from Canada, Belgium, Switzerland, Haiti and Congo:

champagné - lumerotte - poudrerie - ristrette - dracher - tap-tap - fada - dépanneur - vigousse - chafouin

At Alliance Française de Melbourne, schools are invited to take part in this unique competition through different artistic formats:

Entries are due by Friday 18 March 2016

Entries MUST have a title including the word that was picked.
Entries MUST be submitted by e-mail to Aymeric Legrand at  courseassistant2@afmelbourne.com.au or by mail to Alliance Francaise de Melbourne, 51 Grey st, St Kilda VIC 3182 (attention: Aymeric Legrand)

The best 2 entries for each category (poem, drawing, photo, video) will receive prizes from the Alliance française de Melbourne and its sponsors. Winners will be announced by the end of Term 1-2016 in this section and contacted by e-mail to collect their prize from the Alliance Francaise de melbourne counter in St Kilda.
