Float, une échappatoire
An exhibition by St Kilda based artists Annie Erez and Alison Kennedy.
From 13 Nov to 04 Dec. Opening Tues 13 Nov, 6.30pm to 8.00pm.
ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
Float : Une échappatoire (dans ce monde si cruel) is a series of abstract works, with vivid colors, aiming to express what words cannot (express). Forms float in the fantastical space. Everything is possible and imaginable. Everyone can read each work differently.

ABOUT ANNIE EREZ
Annie Erez is a visual artist whose chosen media is painting. She has a background in design and styling and has completed a Postgraduate Diploma of Visual Arts in 2011 at the University of Melbourne. She creates an aerial perspective of a fantastical geography from ink and painted enamel. The navigation between chaos and order inspires her to juxtapose poured paint with fine linework. Her pieces explore movement and stasis, control and freedom. The viewer is invited to enter a new realm. |

ABOUT ALISON KENNEDY
Alison Kennedy works in paint. She is currently completing a Masters of Contemporary Art at the University of Melbourne. She works with acrylic and oil on canvas to create a sense of space - reflecting her background in architecture and design. She playfully questions what is real and artificial – “realistic abstraction”. Surfaces overlap and collide – or do they? |
