The Fondation Alliance Francaise pledges its support to COP21 through pictures with the photo exhibition, Climate, State of Emergency.

“Avec les ans, mon plaisir à regarder le monde ne s’est pas émoussé. Il se renouvelle même sans cesse au contact d’une planète en pleine transformation et de ses habitants – toujours différents, toujours étonnants.”
("Time has not changed the pleasure I experience when I look at the world. It is constantly renewed by a changing planet and its inhabitants - always different, always surprising.'')
Yann Arthus Bertrand, French photographer, journalist, reporter,  environmentalist and patron of this 5th edition

Each year, the Fondation Alliance Française organises an international photography competition within the worldwide network of the Alliances Françaises. On the occasion of the 21st Conference on Climate Change that France will host from November 30 to December 11, 2015, in Paris the Fondation Alliance Française presents the 5th edition of its international photo competition, whose theme is "Climate state of emergency".

Candidates were invited to submit two works each illustrating the real or perceived evolution of their country’s climate issues, the resulting effects on people’s life, and the solutions that are taken or envisaged to fight against the negative effects.

The 1st Prize winner, Yusuf AHMED from Alliance Française Dacca (Bangladesh) was invited by the Fondation Alliance Francaise at the Cite Internationale des Arts in Paris from 3 to 30 November.

From 12 to 25 November the photos of the winners were presented at the Cité Internationale des Arts and from November 30 to 11 December they will be included on the website of Paris -Le Bourget during the COP21.
